This was a relatively slight incline but it got steeper. There were lots of Chinese going down that would smile and give me a thumbs up in apparent appreciation for my efforts to experience their Great Wall.

This view from near the top gives a good perspective of steepness and distance of our climb. Going down was more difficult than up. Thank goodness the stones weren't damp because it would have been impossible if they were slick.

One would have expected that a certificate would have been included in the admission but not so. Many never made it to the top to reach the point where your climb was validated. The signatures are our own of course.
