The FJ-2 Fury jet was manufactured by North American. It was introduced to the Corps in 1954. The length was 40'2" and the wing span was 34'6". Power was supplied by a single Pratt & Whitney J-48 engine which developed 7,250 pounds of thrust. Approximate cost was $707,000 and hourly cost was $50.
