In March, 1956, the Red Devils, VMF 232 set an all time record of 2558 flight hours and 1571 sorties in one month. We had some 50 pilots and 24 FJ2 aircraft in the squadron. It was a grueling month for all hands, especially our maintenance crews. Yours truly flew 52.2 hours and 32 sorties. I suspect the record still stands!
